Michelle grew up in the Raleigh area and attended the University of Pittsburgh where she received her B.S. in Psychology and Hispanic Languages and Literatures. After relocating to the area to conduct clinical research in autism, Michelle joined the TABLE family in the Fall of 2017 as a volunteer with the SnackChef program. She quickly realized that she wanted to pursue a career in nutrition and in the Summer of 2018, Michelle began serving as Program Associate in which she organizes SnackChef, TABLE On the Go, and Camp TABLE. As an avid cook, Michelle hopes to share her love of food and nutrition to encourage healthy eating in children and is invested in providing healthy foods to children who need it the most. Her favorite aspect of being a volunteer with the SnackChef program has been watching the kids venture out of their comfort zone when it comes to trying new foods and gaining the skills to be able to take charge of their own health.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys cooking, going on a walk with her husband, Collin, and dogs, Ruti and Alfie, and traveling.
