As a Founding Partner of Legacy Real Property Group, Mark brings over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate โhighly focused on development and investment.ย Mark spent his early career in Metro D.C. specializing in repositioning value-add multi-family and commercial properties.ย Before leaving D.C. Mark was Vice President and partner running development and facilities management at Gates Hudson and Assoc., a private commercial real estate firm.ย Marks education in design and construction along with a passion for investment financing (and a wife from NC) led to a relocation to Chapel Hill, NC in 2002.ย It was then Mark initially teamed up with his current business partner โ Drew Howell.ย In evolving roles, Mark ran operations and development of larger commercial real estate firms until founding Legacy with Drew in 2010.ย Today, Mark continues as a managing partner of Legacy where the company focus is on development and investment opportunities throughout the Carolinas.ย
As a founding partner at Legacy Real Property Group, Mark is responsible for the day to day operations of the company.ย This includes Legacyโs pursuit and execution of new Development and Investment projects as well as their daily Asset and Property Management responsibilities.ย Surrounded by a highly capable team in the Legacy home office, Mark is able to follow his roots in design and construction by getting intimately involved in almost all of Legacyโs projects.ย Mark acts as Project Manager and/or Ownerโs Rep on many of Legacyโs projects.
Mark is a licensed NC real estate broker, member of various organizations including NAR, NCAR, TCAR, ULI and is active in many local Chapel Hill non-profits and his church.
Outside of Legacy, Markโs focus is on Family, Faith and Fitnessโฆand loves anything on the water.
